32.000 years ago sapiens domesticated dogs and conquered the world. Before agriculture, before cities, before ties and shoes, before the Internet, we had dogs. We’ve evolved with them and are like them in very many ways. Some say that dogs are sapiens’ best friends and, to some, they are the only connection to the “animal” psyche.
This documentary series explores the connection with animals through our relationships with dogs, working dogs, helping dogs, therapy dogs and so on. We´ll start with some of the oldest breeds, the sight hounds and Greenlandic dogs. Their use as companions or working dogs still persists as it was done hundreds of years ago. We want to peer into their lives, their needs and their role as needed members of societies and cultural ambassadors.
